At Clarity Optical, we strive to provide the highest standard in visual clarity, comfort and ocular health care. Our optometrists and optical assistants are always ready to look after you with the best care and thoroughness that you deserve, so that you can rest assured that everything is done in your best interest. Before attending your appointment, it’s best if you bring with you the following items:
· Medicare Card
· Health Insurance Card
· Current prescription glasses and/or sunglasses
· A list of currently taken medications (if applicable).
It’s also a good idea to measure the distance from where you sit to your computer screen, as this will be important in ensuring the optimal optical solution is offered to you if you often use a digital screen.
Clarity Optical is pleased to offer Medicare bulk-billing for the large majority of our eye examinations. Should there be further investigations be required, the associated fee will always be disclosed by your optometrist prior to initiation. If you do not hold a Medicare card, comprehensive eye examinations are still accessible to all patients at Clarity Optical. Often you may be eligible for rebate from OSHC insurance cover via an after-service claim back process.
Our optometrists are therapeutically endorsed, meaning that they are experts in detecting, monitoring and even treating a wide range of ocular conditions. During your eye tests, a significant portion of time will be spent examining the anterior (surface) and posterior (internal) structures of the eye. This will ensure that common conditions such as dry eyes, cataracts, glaucoma, macula degeneration and retinopathies as well as more rare pathologies can be investigated and managed.
If required, further investigations can be performed by other equipment offered by your optometrist, including retinal photography, optical coherence tomography (OCT) and corneal topography.
And of course, a comprehensive check of your optical prescription will be performed. This will ensure that your short-sighted, long-sighted, astigmatic, presbyopic, accommodative or convergence visual status will be up to date. Yes, that’s right! We can check for all those things and even offer a range of optical solutions for them.
